Celebrate New York State's Path through History Weekend with a presentation about the Holland Land Company at the Leon Historical Society on June 15th at 11am. Barker Museum's Archivist, Catherine Oag-Miller will lead the presentation. She has extensive knowledge of people and happenings of the local areas and is known for giving an engaging presentation. For those of you who may have Holland Land Co. on your Deed, bring a notebook and enjoy hearing Ms. Oag-Miller at the 1836 Church in Leon, NY. Light refreshments will be served. 

The Memorial Day parade starts at 9am followed by the reading of the Military Honor roll saluting and honoring our Service men and women at the gazebo. Also stop at the church and see pictures of our servicemen and women. ​

Experience a special day of Amish life in the country, with this auction full of Amish made furniture, tables, chairs, rockers, clocks, quilts, rugs, wall hangings, many handmade items, animals, outdoor items, farm equipment, gift certificates and much more! This auction's proceeds will go towards children and other needy families, doctors and hospital bills owed by the Conewango Valley, New York community.

May 4th opens the Leon Historical Society's museum with a presentation and display on the Holland Land Company. The museum and display will be open every Saturday from May through October from 11am until 2pm.

A one-act opera, "Duke Bluebeard's Castle" presented by Bela Bartok at Gowanda's Historic Hollywood Theater  on November 8th at 7pm and November 10th at 2pm.
