You're invited to the 150th Celebration of the South Dayton Depot on Saturday, September 6th from 12pm - 3pm. Local residents are doing activities from the 1800s that you will be able to experience. Some of the activities will be kite making with Jace Wightman, corncob doll making with Becky Wightman and Kentucky Derby hat making with Peg VanWormer. The hat making will be for the first fifty visitors. Music will be provided by Miss Heidi's Piano Studio Students. Tim Stockman will talk about the history of the Depot.
You're encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and blanket to eat at the Village park. Enjoy a tour of the museum, highlighting the history of movies and the railroad in South Dayton, NY. Be sure to save time for a carriage ride! Banner Farms will be giving complementary horse and carriage rides from 12-3pm.
Visitors can also enjoy the Farmer's Market and food truck.
