Civil War Era Funeral

We present this re-enactment as a window to the rituals and customs of the Civil War Era and to honor our Civil War Veterans at the Old 1836 Church on Route 62, Leon, New York.  A Fun Educational Day!  The Leon Historical Society, are planning a funeral for Lt. Col.Brian S. Teagarden of the 64th Virginia Mounted Infantry -CSA.

The Leon Historical Society presents the 19th annual Victorian Christmas Program at the Historical Church at the four corners in Leon.  See the members of the Historical Society dressed in Victorian attire and you are encouraged to wear your Victorian dress as well!  A Christmas Musical Show entitled "Wrapping All the Way" will be performed by the Cattaraugus Kids Klub.  Refreshments will be provided for after the show!  Program starts at 2pm.
